The BasicVClamp config is just a simple square pulse stimulation for voltage clamp experiments. The stimulus pulse is configured to step up in amplitude in a repeating pattern.

SpikeMC700 - Dynamic Clamping

The SpikeMC700 config contains several dynamic clamp models including basic voltage activated Na and K channels. It is intended to be used with a MC700 amplifier and model cell. Used in this way, the configuration will cause the model cell to produce action potentials. Other models in the configuration can be turned on and adjusted to experiment with their effects.

These configurations are examples of sampling features of Signal. Each configuration has been produced in Signal version 7 and provides a framework to be modified for your own uses, dependant on the compatibility of your hardware and software. When modifying the configurations ensure all sampling parameters are checked, and external equipment is also configured for compatibility. ×
