Tutorials

In the left hand menu you will find links to a number of tutorials for both Spike2 and Signal.

Spike2 training videos

Spike2 is a multi-channel continuous data acquisition and analysis package ideal for applications in many fields including electrophysiology, neurophysiology, sports science, pharmacology, and others.

These training videos begin with an introduction to Spike2 and provide a good overview of the software, before delving into more detailed functions like channel processing, analysis with virtual and memory channels, and spike sorting.

Signal training videos

Signal is a sweep-based data acquisition and analysis package that includes functions for specific application areas including dynamic clamp, whole cell and patch clamp electrophysiology, and evoked response including control of magnetic (TMS) and other stimulus devices.

These videos begin with an introduction to Signal and provide a good overview of the software, before covering specific features like clamping setup, controlling stimulators, and advanced analysis options.

Spike2 video tutorials

Here we provide tutorials for a wide range of sampling and analysis tasks with Spike2. These include videos on how to set-up sampling of waveforms, events and WaveMarks and how to use the output sequencer to control external equipment. Data analysis videos show how to make use of built-in analysis functions such as channel processes, automated measurements and spike sorting, as well as customised analysis options for mains hum removal.

Signal video tutorials

Here you can find tutorials for Signal, our sweep-based data acquisition and analysis software. These include videos on how to set-up sampling in different sweep modes for evoked response experiments and how to control Magstim stimulators for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) studies. Data analysis videos show how to make use of built-in analysis functions such as averaging, automated measurements and single channel patch clamp analysis.
