Recent technical history of BrainTalk

This interfaces to BrainProducts actiCHamp / actiCHamp plus which connects to between 32 and 160 EEG electrodes together with eight auxiliary analogue inputs. In addition there up to eight bits of digital data that may be sampled.

    This version fixes a problem that sampling was not working when trigger channels were selected.

  1. The talker now works with, and requires, the latest version (1.1.0.2) of the BrainVision Amplifier SDK.
  2. Data acquisition now uses some features from version 5 of the talker specification, which is included in the latest updates of Spike2 versions 8, 9 and 10. It is hoped that these will decrease data drops at high rates and channel counts.

    The installer required BrainProducts Recorder software to be installed before running. This is now no longer the case.

    This is the initial release of BrainTalk.
